Rusty Patched Bumble Bee Habitat Restoration Project Adult Project Advisor (remote)
♡ SaveAbout this opportunity
Good habitat work needs patient adults who know when to step back. The Adult Project Advisor for the Rusty Patched Bumble Bee Habitat Restoration Project mentors the Youth Project Lead, supports safety and logistics for restoration field days, helps coordinate tools and site access, and gives the youth lead a thoughtful adult sounding board on habitat workdays planting native flowers and clearing invasives on the Chapter House grounds and nearby valley sites. The youth lead remains the leader; your role is to advise, steady the work, and protect the conditions under which young people can do it well. A background check and youth-protection training are required before working with youth. The Green Crew is a youth-led science-based environmental leadership and conservation service program, and a proud program of the Minnesota Valley Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America. Field work builds on the Green Crews Sunday project days (12:004:00 PM), plus a few planning hours a month.
