About One Step Closer Therapeutic Horsemanship

One Step Closer Therapeutic Horsemanship is an adaptive horseback riding program. We offer therapeutic riding and other equine-related activities to individuals with physical and/or emotional disabilities, including our military veterans in partnership with Veterans Affairs Palo Alto. Whether on horseback, or playing ground games, these activities assist healing and physical development, stimulate learning, and build confidence and self-esteem. All lessons are planned and supervised by a PATH Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor.Specific One Step Closer equine related activities include:Adaptive riding lessonsSchool Readiness Program for 4-8 yrs of ageWork Readiness Program in partnership with HOPE ServicesReading with Romeo literacy program for childrenVeterans Program in partnership with the V.A.Special events for Families of Fallen SoldiersOne Step Closer is a Premier Accredited Center of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) and a 501c non-profit serving the county of Santa Clara, California.
