.Volunteer Opportunity with Preferred Hospice of OzarkPreferred Hospice of Ozark urgently seeks compassionate volunteers to provide companionship to patients in long-term care facilities and their homes across the greater Springfield area, including Republic, Hartville, Willard, and Branson. Our patients thrive with one-on-one interaction, and your companionship can make a significant difference in their lives.As a volunteer, you'll become a personal companion and friend to our patients, engaging in conversations and activities such as reading, crafts, puzzles, or simply spending quality time together. Your presence brings comfort and joy to those in need.If you're interested in joining us, please reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator at 417.581.4968 during office hours, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. About Preferred Hospice of Southwest Missouri
Preferred Hospice is a Missouri-based company comprised of a multidisciplinary team of Healthcare workers who specialize in end-of-life care. Among the senior team are Physician and Nurses who together bring over 50 years of Healthcare experience. We serve patients within an hour radius of our home office in Ozark, Missouri.Volunteers are essential to the Preferred Hospice Team. Direct Patient Volunteers provide companionship to patients while offering emotional support and comfort. Direct Patient Volunteers may also provide respite and assistance to patient caregivers. Office and Administrative Volunteers assist the office staff with many things from mail outs to data entry. Mileage reimbursement is provided.
