Hopewell- Be a Friendly Visitor Volunteer

The Friendly Visitor Volunteer provides socialization and companionship to patients, and often their families, who are dealing with a terminal illness and end-of-life issues. This volunteer is a comforting presence providing additional support, primarily in person, where the patient resides, be it a skilled nursing facility, assisted living facility or a private residence. We have a 50-mile service area, so visits would be set up convenient to you whether in Petersburg, Hopewell, Colonial Heights, Emporia, Franklin, Courtland, and surrounding areas. At times, this support may also be via phone support to a stressed primary caregiver.Join our team making an impact in the lives of others as well as in your own.
