About this opportunity

Help a Child Feel Safe, Seen, and Supported, One Morning a Week!
The Nurture Place is looking for warm, reliable volunteers to participate in our 6 - week School Nurture Groups at local elementary schools in West Orange County. These weekly, school-based groups help children build social and emotional skills through play, connection, and hands-on activities. Rooted in TBRI® (Trust-Based Relational Intervention), they give kids a safe space to practice emotional regulation, body awareness, and respectful communication, the foundational skills that help them thrive in school and in life.
As a volunteer, you'll:
Help facilitate fun, structured group activities alongside our team
Build trusting relationships with children through play and encouragement
Create a calm, welcoming environment where every child feels they belong
Be a consistent, caring presence kids can count on
You don't need a background in mental health, just patience, warmth, and a heart for kids. We provide training and support so you'll feel confident and prepared. If you love working with children and want to make a real, lasting difference right in your own community, this is your place.
