Playing cards, reading to patients, listening to music, or just spending time listening to their life stories can bring joy to our patients. Administrative help can also add valuable experience to your resume!Elara Caring Hospice, a leading care provider in the Midwest, is looking for compassionate volunteers willing to donate their time to provide exceptional end-of-life care to local hospice patients and their families. Volunteers are needed to visit with patients and engage them in activities such as, playing music or singing, working on a craft project or sharing a special talent, or simply providing companionship through listening, talking, or holding a hand. Volunteers can sometimes provide respite care, allowing family members to take a much-needed break. There are also volunteer opportunities within the Elara Caring Hospice office, assisting staff with mailing, filing, computer work and data entry, as well as other special projects. Elara Caring Hospice will work around your schedule! Hours are very flexible, weekdays, evenings or weekends.
