Building Hope Shopping Challenge

What: A super-fun team shopping challenge to meet needs of children and families involved in the Lehigh Valley's child welfare system.
When: October 10, 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Where: Home base will be at Faith Church in west Allentown, but your team will spend time together shopping for bargains in the community.
Teams: 6-8 individuals (ages 12+) per team. (Children under 12 are welcome, but they will not count towards the 6-8 team member total.) You are welcome to form your own team or to sign up as an individual (in which case we will assign you to a team).
Cost: Registration fee is $200 per team or $30 per person. The registration fee can be paid via PayPal or by check. Checks can be sent to Plesion, P.O. Box 532, Schnecksville, PA 18078. All $200 will be returned to your team in the form of a Visa gift card on the day of the event. That will be your shopping money!
What will happen: After a short greeting and time to go over the details, each team will be provided with a wish list for a specific child, sibling group, or family. Your team will then have a total of 3 hours to plan, shop, and prepare your items to display to the other teams. The goal is to be super-shoppers so that you can fill as many of the requests on your wish list as possible with the $200 gift card. Team members can drive separately or carpool to stores but must all go to the same stores as their teammates (so you can't go to one store while your teammate goes to another store). Once in a store, your team is allowed to split apart or stick together.
Lunch will be provided from 12:15 until 1 PM for all participants.
