26-27 ANEW Community Outreach Associate

This is an AmeriCorps/Washington Service Corps national service position, contingent on funding and open until filled. Apprenticeship and Nontraditional Employment for Women (ANEW) is a nonprofit based in South King County that connects people to free training and support for trades careers. Many adults are interested in better work but are not connected to workforce services. They may not have the networks or information needed to take the next step. This AmeriCorps position supports ANEW¿s Access to Opportunity: Enrollment and Engagement Pilot Project by expanding early community connection. The member will serve in neighborhoods and public spaces to share information about ANEW programs, answer questions, distribute outreach materials, gather contact information, and support follow up. Ability to speak Spanish is preferred but not required. We expect to begin rolling review of applications and interviews in mid-July. Monthly stipend amount: $1,942.
