Resource Development and Community Engagement Specialist
♡ SaveAbout this opportunity
Southeast Kansas Area Agency on Aging (SEKAAA) serves older adults and other eligible residents across nine counties in southeast Kansas. Economic insecurity can limit access to services that support health, independence, and financial stability. SEKAAA seeks to strengthen its capacity to address these challenges through sustainable resource development, outreach, and volunteer support.
The VISTA will support fundraising efforts by researching funding opportunities, developing fundraising materials, and creating systems to track prospects and contributions. These resources will help SEKAAA diversify funding and sustain programs serving residents experiencing economic insecurity.
The member will also develop reusable marketing materials, outreach strategies, and community engagement tools to increase awareness of SEKAAA's programs and services. Systems for organizing communications, engaging community partners, and tracking outreach will help residents learn about available resources and how to access them.
Finally, the VISTA will strengthen volunteer recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention systems for SEKAAA's 60+ Nutrition home delivery program. The member will develop recruitment materials, onboarding resources, volunteer communication tools, and retention strategies to support a sustainable volunteer network.
Through these activities, the VISTA will establish tools and processes that SEKAAA staff can maintain beyond the service term. This work will strengthen organizational sustainability, increase awareness of available services, and support continued access to resources that promote health, independence, and economic stability among older adults and other eligible residents throughout SEKAAA's nine-county service area.
