About this opportunity

Volunteers keep the doors of the Newport Library open. You are a friendly face. You do not have to be a computer wiz but should have familiarity with a computer. You are simply asked to be friendly and as helpful as you can be. Training will be provided. There is optional book shelving, and tidying up. You will help people check-out books, may occasionally send a fax or make a photocopy. Volunteers do have to fill out a volunteer application and have a background check. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to work alone. In an effort to open more hours, we are looking for people that would like to work daytime or after school hours. These volunteer staff members will choose their own hours. Hours should be consistent, but we will be able to find a substitute to assist.More information at:Newport, MN
