Visitor Center Host

Year-round, open opportunity! This volunteer position is for someone who is outgoing and enjoys talking with people and has a strong passion for learning.The volunteer will have the primary responsibility of welcoming visitors to the Galena Creek Visitor Center and providing information about the natural and cultural significance of the region. This position will assist with community programming as well as retail store sales.The volunteer will have a strong interest in the natural environment, enjoy working in a team, be mature and dependable, and have strong customer service skills.A proficient volunteer will be able to answer the phone, take messages and relay them to the Manager. Daily tasks will also include taking and recording statistics, maintaining the free information kiosks, tidying the retail space and assisting with cleaning the restrooms and the Visitor Center.
