Make a difference in someone's life, teach English as a Second Language. Can you speak, read, and write in English? Then you can teach English to one to three students. You can help your student use the textbook, stopping to explain or help with pronunciation. It is fun and rewarding!The initial training is for 1.5 hours. Your Trainer takes you to your first class and does it for you as you observe. You can have your Trainer’s help as many times as you want. You don't need to speak a foreign language to teach English. The book uses pictures to teach vocabulary at the beginning level. There are all levels of English learners, from no English to advanced, for you to choose from.We tutor in public places in Carson City, we teach adults. Some students can have classes on Zoom. Most of the students are Spanish speakers. It is fun to learn about your student's culture.The gift that you give when you tutor an adult:Students want to help their children with their homework.They need English for their jobs; to get a job, keep it, and progress in their career.English allows students to read medicine bottles and talk to their doctor.With English, students can communicate with their child's teacher.English helps a person be part of their community.Knowledge of English helps the individual, the family, the labor force, and the community as a whole.Be part of the solution, volunteer to teach English as a Second Language!
