Become a CASA Volunteer: Advocate for a Child in Foster Care
♡ SaveAbout this opportunity
CASA of Placer, Yuba & Sutter is seeking caring adults over the age of 21 to become Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) for children in the foster care system. As a CASA volunteer, you'll be appointed by a judge to advocate for the best interests of a child who has experienced abuse or neglect, getting to know them, building trust, and speaking up for their needs in court, school, and the community. The volunteer commitment is just a couple hours a week, and no special background is required, just a commitment to showing up consistently for a child who needs one caring adult in their corner. Volunteers receive full training and ongoing support from CASA staff throughout their time on a case, starting with our Super Saturday training on October 3rd and 10th at our Roseville office, the last training we're offering this year, so this is a great time to get started. If you're ready to make a lasting difference in a child's life, we'd love to have you join our team.
**Each training day for "Super Saturday" is from 8am to 1pm followed by a graduation on October 14th**
