Volunteer at Hunter Creek Miner's Cabin, CO
♡ SaveAbout this opportunity
Volunteer with us at Hunter Creek Miner's Cabin in Aspen, CO!
Beginning August 23rd we will host five weeks of volunteer opportunities reconstructing the roof on the historic Miner's Cabin located in the beautiful Hunter Creek Valley above Aspen.
We are a Colorado-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides volunteers of all skill levels with hands-on experience preserving historic buildings through week-long volunteer sessions camping on public lands.
The vast majority of HistoriCorps volunteers are retirees, with hundreds participating each year. While some volunteers have backgrounds in the trades, many come simply with an interest in learning new skills and giving back through service. No previous historic preservation or construction experience is required. Volunteering with HistoriCorps is completely free, and we provide tools, PPE, training, meals, and free campsites.
On preservation projects across the country, from small local historic sites to our National Parks and Forests, our volunteers travel to new places, learn and practice historic preservation skills, and contribute to preserving the places that tell our nation's history.
We encourage you to visit historicorps.org or email us at info@historicorps.org for more information about our volunteer program and how to get involved.
