About this opportunity

Intermountain Health/ St. Mary's Regional Hospital volunteers provide customer service to make visitors feel welcome and that their medical needs are important. Assist Registration staff with documenting the arrival of patients needing care.Assigned Duties:Enter patient's name on computer that need to register for services.Greet the public, direct visitors and patients to hospital departments, and answer questions.Look up patient room numbers for visitors.Escort patients and visitors to hospital areas whenever possible.Assist patients with ambulatory issues to acquire a wheelchair.Locate vacant wheelchairs and return to Entrance 5 storage area.Requirements:Must pass criminal background check and complete hospital health screening.Complete hospital orientation and position training.Represent the hospital core values and mission.Maintain patient confidentiality.Be courteous and respectful toward patients. visitors, staff and volunteers.Able to follow directions.Able to adapt to a changing environment.Able to work without supervision.Ability to read and comprehend information.Ability to speak pleasantly on the phone.Ability to problem solve.Possess basic computer skills.Customer service experience.Physical Requirements:Sitting: 40-50%Walking: 40-50%Pushing Patients in Wheelchairs 25%Lifting: No more than 10lbs.Days and Times Available:Monday-Friday, 7:30am-12:00pm and noon to 4:30pm2 shifts available:07:30 to 16:00 MSTHours are flexible: 12:00 to 16:30 MST
