Join our dynamic team in the Emergency Department, providing crucial support to staff, patients, and families, under the guidance of the R.N. As a volunteer you will have direct interaction with patients, family members, and healthcare professionals to make a difference by enhancing the care and comfort of our Emergency Department for patients and their families. Responsibilities include:
Greeting and assisting arriving patients and visitors.
Transporting patients to various departments (e.g., physical therapy and Patient Care Units).
Providing comfort items like warm blankets, snacks and refreshments.
Connecting families with patients and relaying patient updates.
Assisting with discharge (wheelchairs, belongings, escorting patients)
Stocking supplies and maintaining a clean, orderly environment.
Supporting a positive and compassionate experience for everyone.
Hours:
Year-round: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM, every Sunday
Position Requirements: Lifting, standing and walking.
Minimum age: 16.
