Join AARP Nevada Tax-AideHelp seniors and low come taxpayers get FREE tax preparation and filing services. Tax-Aide volunteers make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults. Even modest refunds have an impact.AARP Tax-Aide CounselorsProvide free tax preparation and filing services.Review and discuss taxpayer information and documents.Enter data into TaxSlayer software and review for accuracy.No previous tax experience is necessary.Every year, from early February to mid-April, Tax-Aide volunteers work on site to prepare and file taxpayer returns.As an AARP Tax-Aide volunteer, you’ll receive training and support, learn new skills, and connect with people in your community while helping others. You will have fun and feel good knowing you're making a positive impact with a team of volunteers.Volunteers come from a variety of industries, ranging from retirees to college students, and do not need to be AARP members. About AARP Nevada Tax-Aide
All levels and types of experience are welcome. Volunteers come from a variety of industries, with experiences ranging from retirees to college students. Tax-Aide volunteers are IRS-certified every year, so they understand the latest changes and additions to the tax codeFor Nevada in 2025 for 2024 income taxes, 1.1 million taxpayers in the United States used the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide for their tax preparation needs. Nevada alone helped more than 10,000 taxpayers with 234 volunteers at 27 sites.
