About this opportunity

Seniors and Disabled Adults in our community need your help getting to medical appointments and essential errands. Volunteers drive their own vehicles and are reimbursed mileage roundtrip from their homes. You choose the time you are available and the area you wish to drive. It is a satisfying contribution to our community. We all hope that there will be volunteers like yourselves if we ever need this help!

About Catholic Community Services' Volunteer Services

Our program exists as a safety net for low-income elders and people with disabilities (also low-income)by providing them with services that allow them to remain living as independently as possible in their own homes (not assisted living). For example, a 89 year old woman who only collects $600/mo. in Social Security needs help with her lawn. She can't afford to pay someone, and if her lawn goes a couple of months without being mowed, now the lawn is a fire hazard.
