SOLVE Wreck of the Peter Iredale Beach Cleanup
♡ SaveAbout this opportunity
Join SOLVE, Fort George Brewery, and Oregon Shores on Saturday, September 19, from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. for a community cleanup at beautiful Peter Iredale Beach in Fort Stevens State Park.
This event is part of SOLVE’s annual Beach & Riverside Cleanup, taking place September 18–27. Throughout this region-wide effort, volunteers will gather at sites along the Oregon Coast and major waterways across Oregon and Southwest Washington to remove litter and hazardous debris before it can harm wildlife, pollute our waterways, or reach the Pacific Ocean.
We’ll meet near the parking lot before heading along the coastline to collect consumer waste, marine debris, and micro-trash. Every item removed will contribute to a much larger regional impact while helping protect Oregon’s beaches, wildlife, waterways, and coastal communities.
We’re thrilled to join forces with Oregon Shores, which has served for more than 50 years as a leading voice for protecting the beaches, headlands, landscapes, and ecosystems that make Oregon’s coast so spectacular and loved. By bringing together Oregon Shores’ members and followers, SOLVE’s volunteer community, and Fort George supporters, we can expand the event’s reach, welcome more coastal advocates, and create an even greater collective impact.
We’re also excited to partner with Fort George Brewery, a family-owned craft brewery proudly rooted in Astoria since 2007. While its original beers are distributed throughout the Pacific Northwest, Fort George’s heart remains firmly in its thriving coastal community.
As a thank-you for their hard work, each volunteer will receive a voucher for a complimentary Fort George beer or hop water and an invitation to visit the brewery after the cleanup. Beer vouchers may be redeemed by guests ages 21 and older.
