About this opportunity

Providing education to our community is an engagement strategy to further our organizational mission and deepen our connection to our local community. We believe that by educating our community on the importance of blood donation, as well as facilitating an increased understanding of blood as a life-saving therapy, it will further connect individuals to our life-saving mission.
As part of a team the Community Educator will serve as a subject matter expert by presenting the America’s Blood Centers curriculum Vein-to-Vein (V2V) in educational settings. This newly developed program is a component of Bloodwork’s broader community engagement strategy. The goal behind presenting the V2V curriculum at high schools is to inspire, educate and involve younger donors who will become committed advocates for blood donation.
Qualifications:
Experience presenting topics related to public health, medical and/or blood collection or as an educator.
Ability to present to a diverse audience and make adaptions to meet specific needs of the group.
Ability to manage scheduling commitments, communicate with all relevant parties and represent Bloodworks in a professional manner.
Public speaking experience (highly desired).
