Bucket Fillers Reading Day Volunteer Readers Needed in Manatee and St. Pete

Hello Volunteers,
It's that time of year again!
Join Embracing Our Differences as a Volunteer Reader for our Bucket Fillers Reading Day on Tuesday, November 17, 2026!
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to visit Pre-K through 3rd grade classrooms and share the joy of reading with students.
As a volunteer reader, you'll have the opportunity to:
Read a Bucket Fillers book to a classroom of students
Help children learn about kindness, appreciation, and positive behavior
Encourage students to become “bucket fillers” through everyday acts of kindness
Connect with local schools and make a meaningful impact in your community
The Bucket Fillers program uses the idea of an invisible bucket to help children understand how kindness, love, and appreciation can positively affect others.
WE NEED VOLUNTEER READERS IN SARASOTA, MANATEE, AND ST. PETE!
Our highest need for readers is in Manatee and South St. Pete schools, so please consider volunteering there.*
Once you sign up to be a reader, you will receive a confirmation email explaining next steps and how to get your volunteer clearance through the school districts. Then, you will be assigned classrooms to read to. Each classroom assignment takes about 30 minutes and you can volunteer to read in up to 4 classrooms at a school.
You don't need to be a professional reader or educator, just bring your enthusiasm and your love of connecting with children!
