oin the mission at House of Hope by volunteering at our Hope Shop- Stuart Thrift Store, where every hour you give directly supports programs that feed, house, and empower local residents in need.Our thrift stores don’t just offer amazing deals-they generate 25% of House of Hope’s annual budget and operate our Clothes Closet Program, providing free clothing and household goods to clients. By donating your time, you help keep these critical services running strong.Volunteer Responsibilities May Include:Sorting, tagging, and pricing donated itemsArranging and restocking inventory on the sales floorAssisting shoppers with friendly and professional serviceOperating the cash register and managing check-out transactionsHelping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming shopping environment(Stuart location only) Assisting with moving and organizing furniture - must be able to lift 25-50 lbsTime Commitment:Flexible shifts available Monday-Saturday. Volunteers typically commit to one 3-4 hour shift per week, but we’re happy to work with your schedule!Ideal Volunteer:Friendly and customer-focusedComfortable working on their feet for several hoursAble to lift and carry light to moderate items (heavier if helping with furniture)Willing to support the mission of House of HopeAges 16+ welcome (volunteers under 18 must have parental consent)Why Volunteer?Whether you’re looking for retail experience, community service hours, or simply a way to give back, you’ll find purpose, connection, and impact at the Hope Shop!

Founded in 1984, House of Hope now touches the lives of approximately 7,000 people per month with services that include basic needs - food, clothing, furniture, financial assistance - and long-term case management that helps people build life skills for a more self-sufficient future.
