🎅 Volunteer for the Northwest Railway Museum’s Santa Trains! 🚂Help bring holiday cheer to thousands of families this season by joining the Northwest Railway Museum’s Santa Trains in Snoqualmie and North Bend! These beloved holiday excursions delight visitors of all ages and are made possible thanks to the support of dedicated volunteers like you.The Museum operates two festive trains each weekend beginning November 29th until December 21st:✨ Yuletide Express — Runs Fridays and Saturdays between Snoqualmie Depot and Snoqualmie Falls, offering passengers a cozy, scenic holiday ride filled with cheer. (Nov. 29, Dec. 6th, 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th)🎄 Santa Limited — Runs Saturdays and Sundays between North Bend Depot and the Railway History Campus, where passengers meet Santa, enjoy hot chocolate and cookies, and explore the holiday-themed Train Shed Exhibit Hall. (Nov. 29th, 30th, Dec. 6th, 7th, 13th, 14th, 20th, 21st)We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to help make these experiences unforgettable! Opportunities include:Car Attendants – Ride aboard our historic coaches, assist passengers, and ensure everyone has a safe, enjoyable experience. (7:00 AM – 6:00 PM)Crowd Control (North Bend Depot or Snoqualmie Depot) – Greet guests, manage boarding lines, and help keep operations running smoothly. (8:30 AM – 6:00 PM)Activity Helpers (Railway History Campus) – Support crafts, games, and holiday fun for families and kids. (8:30 AM – 6:00 PM)Hot Chocolate Servers / Cookie Distributors – Help spread warmth (literally!) by serving treats at the Railway History Campus. About Northwest Railway Museum
Founded in 1957 as the Puget Sound Railway Historical Association, the Northwest Railway Museum became a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation in 1961. It is the largest railway museum in Washington State and is visited by over 120,000 people a year. The Northwest Railway Museum operates a five-mile interpretive railway, the historic Snoqualmie Depot, and the Railway History Campus - a modern campus which houses administrative offices, a state of the art archive, and hosts additional public programs including exhibits, docent led tours, and other educational programming.Volunteers play a vital role in Northwest Railway Museum's public programs, including the interpretive railway program, collections preservation and restoration, and special events support. Each year, volunteers contribute more than 14,000 hours of volunteer time.The Northwest Railway Museum's collection of railway equipment is one of the largest in the United States and is representative of Northwest railroading and includes diesel and steam locomotives, passenger and freight cars, specialized railway equipment as well as smaller railway artifacts such as dining car china, and tools, signage and lanterns.The Museum owns and operates 5.5 miles of main line track and the fully restored Snoqualmie Depot, originally constructed in 1890. The Snoqualmie Depot is on the National Register of Historic Places and the King County/Snoqualmie Landmarks Register.
