Are you looking to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life? Parkside Retirement Assisted Living Facility in Auburn is seeking a compassionate volunteer to spend time with one of our residents-a lovely 70+ year-old woman who would benefit greatly from one-on-one companionship.About the Resident:A quiet, cooperative, and engaging individual who communicates clearly and enjoys thoughtful conversation.Recently grieving the loss of her beloved sister, with whom she shared a close bond.Currently experiencing a decline in social interaction and interest in hobbies such as gardening, reading, and crossword puzzles.Prefers the comfort of her room but responds well to small group settings and gentle engagement.Volunteer Role:Provide companionship through conversation, shared activities, or simply being present.Encourage light engagement in hobbies or interests, if appropriate.Offer emotional support and a warm presence during a time of transition and healing.Ideal Volunteer:Kind, patient, and empathetic.Comfortable with quiet moments and gentle conversation.Interested in building a meaningful connection with a senior in need of companionship.Location:Parkside Retirement ALFAuburn, WA 98002Time Commitment:Flexible - even one hour a week can make a big difference. Providence ElderPlace is an innovative program of health care and social services for older adults. Our model of care is known as PACE (Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly).Participants attend the Providence ElderPlace Center on a regular basis, and transportation is provided. The ElderPlace team of health care and social service professionals and our affiliates provide comprehensive integrated care to our participants.
