About this opportunity

Do you enjoy communicating via the written word? Gathering all the information and crafting a compelling message? Helping Link seeks a volunteer grant writer for our Fund Development Team who will persuasively communicate the organization’s mission to potential funders. Tasks include attending a weekly online meeting; developing, writing and submitting grant applications; and completing reporting requirements for existing funding. Minimum commitment: 2-4 hours/week. Hybrid online/in-person but volunteer must live in the Puget Sound area (Western WA). Training is provided. Skills required include the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple or ongoing deadlines; strong research and writing skills; and the ability to use Microsoft Teams. Helping Link has been serving the Vietnamese-American immigrant community for twenty-five years. We provide English language, citizenship, and computer education classes for adults and seniors; job-site language training; information and referral services for our most vulnerable; and cultural events for the community.
