Enterprise for Youth is a San Francisco-based nonprofit that empowers under-resourced youth to reach their full potential through job readiness training, paid internships, career exploration, and personal mentorship. Our programs provide deep, hands-on engagement with youth from low-income and underrepresented communities, helping them overcome institutional barriers and access meaningful career opportunities. Since 1969, Enterprise for Youth has empowered more than 20,000 under-resourced youth and opened doors to brighter futures. We believe that all young people deserve equitable access to meaningful work experiences and supportive networks as they navigate their path toward adulthood and professional success.Position: Board Member (Volunteer)Term: 2 years, renewableLocation: San Francisco Bay Area preferred Role Summary:Board Members serve as ambassadors, advisors, and stewards of Enterprise for Youth’s mission. They provide strategic direction, financial oversight, and community connections that help the organization grow and thrive. Board Members play a critical role in ensuring Enterprise for Youth remains innovative, mission-aligned, and financially sustainable.Key Responsibilities:Governance & Oversight:Attend and actively participate in quarterly board meetings and annual retreats. Help guide strategic planning and organizational performance.Fundraising & Development:Participate in fundraising by leveraging your network, securing Heroes a Work event sponsor ships, or introducing potential donors, partners, or employers.Make an annual personal contribution that is meaningful to you, typically $5,000 or more.Ambassadorship:Act as a public champion of Enterprise for Youth's mission.Attend and support key events such as fundraisers, intern showcases, and community
