Community Meal at the Hope Center

Insight Housing (formerly Berkeley Food and Housing Project) has served a free daily meal to the community since 1970. Join in this tradition at the Hope Center - located at 2012 Berkeley Way!We need volunteers to serve meals Monday-Friday from 2:30-4:30, as well as volunteers on Saturday and Sunday from 11:30am-1:30pm, to help with packing meals for our Programs. We have 50-100 visitors on a daily basis. Volunteer tasks include serving meals, packing lunches for our women's shelter and respite program, and light cleaning after community meal concludes at 4 pm.If you are interested in volunteering please follow these steps below:Complete Microsoft Form here:https://bit.ly/insightvolunteerYou will receive an email from the Volunteer Coordinator confirming they have received your application. You will then be provided with orientation materials. This includes a training video, as well as the waivers that need to be completed before first volunteer shift: volunteer waiver, confidentiality agreement, child and elder abuse agreement and the volunteer handbook.After forms are finalized, Volunteer coordinator will send a list of available shift dates.
