Our organization focuses on providing life-saving blood products to our communities’ hospitals to serve local patients that are undergoing various treatments.Blood Drive Volunteer Role DescriptionWEEKDAY SHIFTS AVALABLE Welcome and check-in donorsProvide courteous and friendly communication and assistance to donors and staffExplain the donation process as necessary and answer any questions donors may haveAssist with set up and help maintain cleanliness in Reception and Canteen/Hospitality areasRestock canteen/hospitality area and encourage donors to re-hydrate after donation procedureWhen applicable, may assist staff with reminder/cancellation calls, assist in re-scheduling donor appointments, and perform follow up activities as directedQualifications/RequirementsMust be 16 or olderMust pass a Criminal Background CheckCommit to one volunteer shift per monthTrainingVirtual Vitalant Volunteer OrientationKaren ArellanoVitalant Volunteer Services Coordinatorkarellano-gallegos@vitalant.org(325)223-7511
