Shop and Make Book BundlesAny one of any age, any time, any where can volunteer to shop and make Book Bundles for children and teens.Book Bundles bring stories, adventures and more to children and teens undergoing treatment for a life-threatening illness, and their siblings. They help improve mental health, increase knowledge, promote relaxation, and stimulate creativity and imagination.We welcome you to make and donate as many bundles as you choose. Thank you for volunteering!STEP 1: Shop and bundle together 4 new books for a boy, a girl, or gender neutral, in any 1 of these age ranges:3-5 years.6-8 years.9-12 years.Teens.Shop for fiction and non-fiction books that are fun and engaging.Please do not include books in a series/volumes or with content that is sad, intense, or violent; or is focused on individual family members, health challenges, dying, politics, religion, or seasonal holidays. Thank you.STEP 2: (Optional)Include a handwritten, decorated, There With Care printed note card in each bundle.Please ask for supplies of printed note cards.On the note card, write the name of your family, corporation/business, school or faith/community group.Write one phrase: Let your imagination soar! OR Between the pages of a book is a lovely place to be. Decorate with colorful designs.Write your first name, age (minors only) and city.STEP 3:Place decorated note card front side down on the table.Neatly pile 4 books on the note card with smallest book on top.Tie ribbon around all sides of the book pile and note card.Secure bundle by tying a knot and making a bow at the top.PICK UP SUPPLIES/DROP OFF COMPLETED BUNDLES:There With Care's office is located at the Sobrato Center for Nonprofits, There With Care, 330 Twin Dolphin Drive, Suite 135, Redwood City , CA 94065. About There With Care of the Bay Area

The Bay Area Chapter was created in 2011, seven years after the founding chapter opened in Colorado. There With Care receives referrals from medical social workers at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital in Palo Alto and UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital in Mission Bay, San Francisco. When a family receives a medical diagnosis of critical illness for their child, There With Care connects with the family and engages community members and organizations to volunteer to help ease the stress of their day-to-day life activities.For information on the experiences of families and children facing critical illness; There With Care's programs and services, and ways to participate and support families, please visit our website: therewithcare.org (Select the "Bay Area" location.We look forward to you joining the network of care and support that surrounds families.
