Empowering Children Bay Area aims to increase child literacy rates by connecting older adult volunteers (50+) with non-fluent readers in grades 1-3.There is no experience necessary to volunteer for our rewarding program as we provide all the training and support. About Empowering Children Bay Area
Experience Corps Bay Area in partnership with Sequoia Living and AARP Experience Corps is an inter-generational volunteer-based tutoring program that is proven to help children who aren't reading at grade level become great readers by the end of third grade. We inspire and empower adults 50 and older to serve in their community and disrupt the cycle of poverty by making a lasting difference in the lives of America's most vulnerable children.
