We provide clients with free legal services regardless of their age, sex, gender identity, abilities and equity needs, nationality or type of trafficking. We emphasize a holistic approach that empowers survivors to achieve justice on their own terms.Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual with a strong background in finance to join our Board of Directors. As a board member, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and long-term sustainability of the organization.Responsibilities include: Provide strategic financial guidance and oversightReview and interpret financial statements, budgets, and reportsSupport the Finance Committee with financial planningEnsure compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirementsParticipate actively in board meetings and relevant committeesAssist in fundraising and development efforts as neededQualifications:Proven experience in finance, accounting, budgeting, or related fieldCPA, CFA, MBA, or similar designation preferred (but not required)Prior nonprofit board experience is a plusCommitment to the mission and values of Justice At LastStrong communication and collaboration skillsJoin us and have the opportunity to impact social justice and help enhance the lives of trafficked persons.There is a requirement that the Board of Directors be residents within the San Francisco Bay Area.Board of Directors terms are 3 years,

We provide clients with free legal services regardless of their age, sex, gender identity, abilities and equity needs, nationality or type of trafficking. We emphasize a holistic approach that empowers survivors to seek justice on their own terms. Justice At Last is a mobile practice - we meet our clients where they already receive trusted services. This relieves survivors from the need to provide their transportation or to visit a law office setting that might feel unwelcoming. We specialize in the areas of law identified by our clients and those with lived experience as being the most critical and the least available to survivors of trafficking. These include crime victims’ rights enforcement, criminal records clearance, and immigration relief. Our strategic interventions provide clients with a platform to be heard, the choice to define and seek their own justice, and an opportunity to change the trajectory of their lives.While we have offices in Oakland, Redwood City, San Francisco, San Jose our practice is mobile and we travel to where the client is already receiving services to save them time, money and to ensure they are in a space that feels safe and comfortable.
