Share your tech knowledge and computer skills with Livermore Public Library patrons as a Basic Tech Help Volunteer! You can make a real difference in a people's lives by helping them upload their resumes to a website, showing them how to create a basic PowerPoint, or assisting them with signing up for a Gmail account.Livermore Public Library is looking for volunteers with computer technology skills to assist library patrons with their basic tech needs at Civic Center Library. Desired availability for volunteers is weekday evenings, with a minimum commitment of two hours per week. Adult library patrons are the target audience for this drop-in service. Interested volunteers can apply here, to be considered for an interview.Volunteers will assist adult patrons with basic computer skills such as:uploading/downloading filescreating email accountsusing Microsoft Office suiteusing Google suite (Docs, Sheets, etc.)basic web searching and browsingThis service is not intended to help with writing resumes, completing online forms requiring personal information, or making online purchases.
