About the Pet Meals-on-Wheels Program: Pets provide unconditional love and emotional support to some of our community's most vulnerable, including the unhoused. In honor of that bond, the OHS Pet Meals-on-Wheels (PMOW) program was created to help pet owners care for and keep their animals, regardless of circumstance. We pack and distribute pet food and supplies weekly from our site in Fremont, partnering with local food banks, shelters, and outreach groups to deliver directly to low-income and unhoused individuals throughout the Tri-City area.Duties & Responsibilities:Collaborate with program managers to ensure supplies are consistently available and meet program needs.Conduct regular inventory checks to monitor stock levels and anticipate shortages.Purchase supplies as needed, maintain receipts, and complete monthly financial reporting.Audit spreadsheets weekly to verify accurate logging of donations and purchases.Pick up donations from local partners and transport them to the storage unit.Build and maintain relationships with online vendors, comparing prices to secure the best deals while respecting budget and delivery timelines.Skills & Competencies:Proficient with Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Drive)Professional texting and phone etiquetteClear and effective communicationAbility to follow written instructions accuratelyWho Should Apply:You enjoy chatting on the phone, texting, and emailing to keep in touchYou want to work from home while making a real difference in the communityYou love data and organizing thingsTime Commitment:1-3 hours per weekVirtual training providedIf you are seriously applying, please submit our volunteer form at https://forms.gle/qe11rFiEQ6uyrKEi6 to have your application forwarded to our program manager.
