Volunteer with the Granada Hills Salad Bowl Garden Club to help beautify local community areas!Why: In 2024 we started a new community area to host volunteers, workshops and events. With your efforts, we hope these new spaces will bring a new wave of gardeners to learn and share their knowledge with each other.Who: Granada Hills Salad Bowl Garden Club is non-profit 501(c)(3) based in Granada Hills. Our goal is to encourage individuals in the community to develop self-sufficiency and healthy living through a community garden and educating them about gardening skills.What to Expect: During Community Volunteer Day, come to volunteer in the new community plot(s) & areas to help with various outdoor tasks such as:WeedingMulchingShovelingRepairingAmending the soilRemoving grassHarvestingPlantingSeed savingCompostingLeak AssessmentWhat's Required:Volunteers must be 14 years or older. If you are a minor, then adult or guardian supervision is required.Outdoor volunteer event, please bring a sun hat, pants and wear closed toed shoes.Tools & gloves will be provided at the event.Bring your own water.No Dogs allowed.Have Questions or Need Accommodation?
