Volunteer with the Granada Hills Salad Bowl Garden Club to help beautify local community areas!Why: In 2024 we started a new community area to host volunteers, workshops and events. With your efforts, we hope these new spaces will bring a new wave of gardeners to learn and share their knowledge with each other.Who: Granada Hills Salad Bowl Garden Club is non-profit 501(c)(3) based in Granada Hills. Our goal is to encourage individuals in the community to develop self-sufficiency and healthy living through a community garden and educating them about gardening skills.What to Expect: During Community Volunteer Day, come to volunteer in the new community plot(s) & areas to help with various outdoor tasks such as:WeedingMulchingShovelingRepairingAmending the soilRemoving grassHarvestingPlantingSeed savingCompostingLeak AssessmentWhat's Required:Volunteers must be 14 years or older. If you are a minor, then adult or guardian supervision is required.Outdoor volunteer event, please bring a sun hat, pants and wear closed toed shoes.Tools & gloves will be provided at the event.Bring your own water.No Dogs allowed.Have Questions or Need Accommodation? About Granada Hills Salad Bowl Garden Club

Looking for volunteers to help with gardening and planting vegetables each new season at our new community plot(s) Other projects may include composting, fruit harvest, weeding, mulching, digging, painting, helping senior, setting up drip lines, preparing plots for new gardeners, small building projects and arts & crafts.
