Million Little Interns will help prepare for and deliver art-based social emotional learning for our early childhood offering, Creativity in the Classroom & Beyond (CIC). This beloved program invites elementary students (K-3) to play and work together through literacy and art and promotes equitable access to creative exploration. Interns will support ML Facilitators in the photographing and filming of this highly engaging, strengths-based program, providing occasional one-on-one support to elementary students in the program, managing all digital files, and leading the culminating photo book project from design to assembly to delivery. Interns also engage in Million Little’s ongoing education throughout the term, focusing on trauma-informed care, a strengths-based approach/inclusive language, and setting boundaries. About Million Little
We recruit throughout the year to support in our office and at our community events. Office volunteers support our staff and programs by helping prep materials and art samples, cleaning/organizing supplies and our office space, and assembling art-based giveaways for youth. Event volunteers support logistically and sometimes co-facilitate community events including painting pop-ups for families, jewelry-making booths at community markets, music/fashion workshops, etc.
