Be Part of the Garden Tour Committee!We’re inviting enthusiastic volunteers to step into the role of Docent Coordinator(s) for Livingston’s Annual Garden Tour. This role can be taken on by one person or shared by two friends/colleagues who’d like to work together—it’s a wonderful way to be part of one of Ventura County’s most cherished community events.What You’ll Do:Attend a short monthly committee meeting (about one hour).Join the committee in visiting local gardens to help select which ones will be featured.In April and May, dedicate about 10 hours (per person, if shared) to coordinating our team of 80+ experienced docents. This includes:o Assigning docents to each garden and determining how many are needed at each site.o Confirming availability (all contact info is provided—no recruiting required!).o Coordinating via group messages and supporting docents who step up as Garden Managers.Why It’s a Great Fit:You don’t have to do it alone—this opportunity is perfect for two people to share!Enjoy being surrounded by beautiful gardens and passionate volunteers.Play an important role in creating a smooth and welcoming experience for hundreds of guests.You have the support of committee members who do various other roles such as write-ups about the gardens, recruiting musicians, and more. You’ll also have the support of our committee chair and event coordinator for any and all inquiries.Step into a role that combines light organization, fun teamwork, and behind-the-scenes access to some of the most stunning gardens in the county!
