Volunteer to show new riders how to become more independent using public transportation. Join a group of people who are interested in mobility and independence for older adults and people with disabilities. Our Ride Ambassadors lead trips to places such as the Portland Art Museum, botanic gardens, free concerts, the Saturday Market & more! You'll get a free monthly Hop card for your service & all fare is provided for participants. Apply online today!
Requirements for Ride Ambassadors include:
-Having experience in riding bus and light rail.
-Submitting a completed volunteer application.
-Completing an interview with a Ride Connection staff member.
-Completing a criminal background check.
-Completing training and trip shadowing provided by Ride Connection.
-Enjoy public transit!
