Become a Reading Mentor with The Shadow Project! (In-person)

The Shadow Project is recruiting volunteers to become in-person Reading Mentors in Centennial schools. Mentors work one-on-one with students with learning challenges, motivating them to set and achieve weekly reading goals using assistive reading technology and an extensive audiobook library. We are currently in need of volunteers who can volunteer in East Portland, near Gresham.Volunteers need to meet the following criteria: 18+ years oldCommit 2 hours per week from October to May.Volunteer in the mornings or afternoon during school hours, 9am-3pmAvailable to volunteer in East Portland, near GreshamProvide proof of COVID-19 VaccinationIf you are interested in volunteering, please complete our Reading Mentor Interest Form.If you have questions, please contact us at serve@shadow-project.org.
