Deliver Lifesaving Blood in the Portland Metro Area with the Red Cross

Are you a dependable, safe and courteous driver who can help us make important blood deliveries? Transportation Specialists deliver life-saving blood products from Red Cross collection sites to processing labs and/or to hospitals, using a Red Cross-owned vehicle or your own personal vehicle. Other responsibilities include delivering supplies to blood collection sites, picking up empty boxes from hospitals, completing required paperwork, and obtaining necessary signatures. You’ll also need to meet these important qualifications: Have a valid state driver's license and proof of insurance Have 3 years driving experience and a clean driving record (an MVR check will be completed as part of the interview process) Can lift up to 45 lbs. Why is this position so important? By delivering blood, platelets, or other blood products, YOU will be the critical link between blood donors and blood recipients! Each volunteer shift you take is another opportunity to help save lives.
