Do you enjoy being a part of someone’s life?Providence ElderPlace is an innovative program of services for older adults. ElderPlace helps older adults remain as healthy and independent as possible in the community for as long as possible.As a volunteer with you can make a profound difference in the lives of our clients. We have volunteer opportunities that support your intention of making a positive difference in the lives of others.The ElderPlace Milwaukie Day Center is seeking volunteers Monday through Friday. Your presence one day a week brings the opportunity for living in the moment and celebration. (Located in Milwaukie)Volunteers may do one or more of the following activities within the Day Center:Reading a storyPlaying a variety of gamesArts & Craft projectsReminiscingOne-on-One companionshipYour visits will go a long way to enhance the quality of life. Every volunteer has something special to contribute.QualificationsAbility to engage with many types of peopleGood listening skillsDependableEnthusiastic16 + years of age

Providence ElderPlace is an innovative program of health care and social services for older adults. Our model of care is known as PACE (Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly). Nationally, PACE programs keep older adults as healthy as possible in the community by providing comprehensive health care and social services including: primary and specialty medical care, a day health program, social work services, rehabilitation, housing (if necessary) and much more.
