Providence ELderPlace helps older adults remain as healthy and independent as possible in the community for as long as possible. As volunteers we are helping support and enrich the lives of our participants.Bilingual Assistant: The ElderPlace Bilingual Assistant will assist our participants in adult day health with playing bingo, dominoes, cheeckers, crafting or spend time socializing with participants. They are to assist individuals that have language barriers in participating with activites in the day center. No experiece needed. Training will be provided by staff to better ensure a more gratifying volunteer experience. ElderPlace has 8 locations throughout Multnomah, Washington and Clackamas Counties.Qualifications:Bilingual in Spanish, Vietnamese, Hindu or CreoleEnthusiasticAbility to engage with many types of peopleWillingnes to be flexible and patientDependable16 + years of age1 shift available:Thursday May 08, 2025 - 10:00 to 15:00 PST

Providence ElderPlace is an innovative program of health care and social services for older adults. Our model of care is known as PACE (Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly). Nationally, PACE programs keep older adults as healthy as possible in the community by providing comprehensive health care and social services including: primary and specialty medical care, a day health program, social work services, rehabilitation, housing (if necessary) and much more.
