The Canby Center is searching for more Reading Mentors to volunteer at Canby elementary schools in the current school year! Reading Mentors inspires a love of reading by providing students with their own library of books and consistent, one-on-one reading with a caring adult.This program believes that kids who read for fun, will read to learn!A weekly Mentor commits to an hour of reading time at one school for the duration of the academic year. Mentors are matched with two students selected by the school to be the recipient of consistent, encouraging, and attentive reading practice.
