K9 Youth Alliance is a grassroots nonprofit that empowers youth and enriches the lives of shelter dogs through the human animal bond.We're currently seeking 15-20 responsible adults to mentor student-dog teams in our 3-week Positive Youth Development program!You can foster transformative change by mentoring kids from under-resourced communities as they learn to train and advocate for shelter dogs. Dog handling required.DETAILSProgram runs Mon - Fri, September 29 - October 17, 3:30 - 6:30PMMinimum of 3 days a week required.The ideal volunteer should have a passion for the mission and:Be a team playerBe able to handle dogs of all sizes and temperamentsBe on your feet and active for roughly 3 hours a dayClear a criminal background checkINTERESTED?Contact Jennifer Hirano at J.Hirano@k9youthalliance.org today!
