Help load shopping carts and vehicles with groceries during our public food distributions every Tuesday 9:00 AM-11:30 AM.Why: With volunteer support, Heart of Compassion currently provides loads of groceries for more than 400 families weekly at our public food distributions.Who: Heart of Compassion is dedicated to being a lighthouse of hope and help for Montebello and our local communities. We rely on our valuable volunteers to help us achieve our mission of Fighting Hunger and Feeding Hope.What to Expect:Volunteers are responsible for gently handling food products, such as bagged fruits and vegetablesLoad groceries into shopping carts and/or vehicles during our public food distributionsVolunteers must follow safety directionsVolunteers are responsible for following their team leader's directions and having a positive attitudeVolunteers must also be flexible if asked to work in a different areaWhat's Required:Volunteers must be at least 13 years old to help with our public food distributionsVolunteers must wear a safety vest (provided if needed)Wear closed-toed shoes and wear modest clothing (gloves are provided if needed)Check-in and out with the office every day they volunteerBe willing to stand/walk for long periods,Let the office know if they cannot attend their scheduled shift.Volunteers may need to lift/load heavy boxesHave Questions or Need Accommodation? About Heart of Compassion Distribution

We currently provide loads of groceries for about 600 families weekly at our public food distributions.Mondays 9a.m.-12p.m.: volunteers needed to bag produceTuesdays and Wednesdays 8-11a.m.: volunteers needed to register recipientsTuesdays and Wednesdays 9a.m.-12p.m.: volunteers needed to load groceries into shopping carts and recipient vehicles
