Join us in bringing warmth and comfort to individuals transitioning out of homelessness by supporting our Blanket Drive!Why: When the temperature drops in the colder seasons, your generosity can make a real difference! By donating blankets, you ensure that our participants stay warm and comfortable during the cold season. Join us in spreading warmth and compassion--every blanket counts!Who: L.A. Family Housing (LAFH) works to help families transition out of homelessness and poverty through a continuum of housing enriched with supportive services. Founded in 1983, LAFH served more than 2,500 people living in poverty this past year through its multiple housing and supportive service programs, and has served over 100,000 people since its inceptionWhat to Expect:Donate new blankets you purchase or make at home!Schedule a drop-off time with LAFHYou can also make your own no-sew tie blankets using these instructions--all you need is:1.5 or 2 yards of fleece fabric in two colors/patterns (same amount for each)Fabric scissorsA rulerWhat's Required: This volunteer opportunity does not take place at an LA Family Housing site.
