ADVOCAP's Transportation Program needs compassionate and dedicated drivers who live in Winnebago County!Volunteers transport Winnebago County residents in need; based on requests by Winnebago Department of Health Services (DHS) case workers and Winnebago Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC). Volunteers choose who they would like to transport; children, seniors, or other individuals and when they are available to provide rides.Must be at least age 55 with a good driving record, reliable transportation and proof of insurance. Drivers are needed Monday - Sunday.Choose the rides you want! MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR COMMUNITY!The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides opportunities for individuals age 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers choose when, where and how long they would like to serve at schools, day care centers, police departments, hospitals and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of older Americans with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental insurance while they serve. There is a pre-service orientation, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
