Discover the JOY of helping someone smile! We are a 100% volunteer run organization that shares our collection of over 60 fire trucks and hundreds of collectable toys with our Mid-Michigan community. A museum guide and docent helps welcome visitors and answer questions they might have. We will help prepare you for the job, and we promise - it's a lot of fun.We are hosting a welcome/training session in March in preparation for the May through October 2024 Season. If you miss that session, that's OK - it's just an easy way to learn more about us. We work with YOU to help match a Saturday or Sunday (noon to 4pm) session that helps our visitors. We depend on our docents to be faithful to keeping to their commitments, because our volunteers are the heartbeat of what keeps our doors open to the public.People of all ages and walks of life help out. Men, women, seniors, college students, busy professionals, former firefighters, and some that have no experience with the fire service at all. You are WELCOME - please reach out to connect with us!
About ANTIQUE TOY AND FIREHOUSE MUSEUM
A Board of Directors oversee the day-to-day operations of the museum. The museum is 100% volunteer run and relies on grants and donations for funding. Volunteers help secure grants, help with daily operations, and fix trucks so they can be showcased in parades and local car shows.
