Gentiva Hospice-Joplin, MO is seeking Companionship Visitor Volunteers to serve in Webb City, MO:Gentiva Hospice offers volunteer opportunities for caring individuals who wish to make a difference in the lives of patients and their families. Here are some ways you can serve as a visitor volunteer:Companionship: Spending time with patients by offering a smile, holding their hand, sharing stories, listening, reading, or singing.Care Giver Respite: Offering scheduled breaks for caregivers, allowing them to rest, manage personal tasks, or simply recharge.Veteran-to-Veteran Support: If you are a Veteran, you can support fellow service members during their end-of-life journey.As a Companionship Visitor Volunteer, you will be given choices as to how much and what types of things you want to do. Volunteers have flexibility; the opportunities may be once monthly to once weekly depending on your availability.Our patients reside in private homes, local nursing facilities, and assisted living facilities.
