Position Summary:The Rare Breed Donation Volunteer helps manage incoming donations to ensure items are sorted, organized, and made readily available to youth in need. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, respectful, and accessible donation area that allows young people to access clothing, hygiene products, and other essentials with dignity.Key Responsibilities:Sort and organize incoming donations (clothing, hygiene items, non-perishable food, etc.)Ensure donated items are clean, age-appropriate, and in good conditionStock and restock donation shelves and storage areas as neededAssist with tracking inventory and informing staff when specific items are lowHelp maintain a tidy, welcoming donation space for youth accessing servicesUphold confidentiality and treat all participants and their needs with respectQualifications:Must be at least 25 years oldComfortable with light physical tasks (e.g., lifting donation bags, bending, sorting)Attention to detail and a sense of organizationWillingness to work independently or with a small teamTime Commitment:Flexible shifts; minimum 2-hour commitment per visit preferredRare Breed is open Monday - Friday, 9AM -5PMTasks:Receive and document donationsSort and organize donationsRestock suppliesClean and sanitize surfacesSweep and mop as neededOther tasks assigned by the Youth Services Coordinator
