Position Summary:The Rare Breed Front Desk Volunteer serves as the first point of contact for community members, donors, and service partners. This role involves answering phone calls, greeting visitors, and accepting in-kind donations. Volunteers in this position help maintain a warm, respectful, and professional environment that reflects Rare Breed’s commitment to supporting youth in crisis.Key Responsibilities:Answer and direct incoming phone calls using appropriate phone etiquetteGreet visitors and donors in a friendly, professional mannerReceive and log in-kind donations, ensuring items are routed to the correct areaProvide general information about Rare Breed programs and servicesMaintain front desk area cleanliness and organizationNotify staff of walk-ins or individuals seeking servicesUphold confidentiality and treat all youth and visitors with compassion and respectQualifications:Must be at least 25 years oldStrong verbal communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to maintain a calm and welcoming demeanor in a busy environmentComfortable using a phone and basic office equipmentDependable and punctualTime Commitment:Shifts available during program hours; minimum 2-hour commitment per shift preferred
